Forteana

In an excellent review of von Grönhagen’s Himmler’s Secret Society and Ike Vil’s Chasing the Green Dragon in the latest issue (468) of Fortean Times by SD Tucker, there are some minor mistakes — understandable, really, as the amount of characters, anecdotes, and twisting trails in the book might sometimes get confusing, as Mr Tucker notes. Gematrically, the most, err, dangerous inaccuracy is obviously the fact that the theu-threng used by the Greens should have pieces from 110 different skulls (as opposed to the 108-piece necklace worn by the good guys: 1+1+0=2; the number of separation and Kala Nag, as interpreted by Jean Marquès-Rivière of the Polaires!)  Also, the person who promised to have Tibetan monks appear through the wall as soon as he got an audition with Hitler was of course Trebitsch-Lincoln, aka Chao Kung, very possibly the original Man with the Green Gloves, and (unless the plot is even thicker than we imagined!) NOT the author of Sept têtes du Dragon Vert, of whose identity we make an educated guess elsewhere in the book.

Both titles are available worldwide as paperback and hardcover via Amazon and other major retailers. Last week, Abraxas Publishing also put out a numbered collector’s edition of 369 copies, available while stocks last.
